STORK Plastics Machinery at the PLASTPOL 2011
The PLASTPOL will take place from 24 until May 27th 2011. STORK Plastics Machinery B.V. is set to use the PLASTPOL 2011 as a platform to show state-of-the art high speed injection moulding solutions. Stork will demonstrate its STORK S+ range injection moulding machines, which capitalize on key features of the market: reliable energy-efficient production and the generation of more output per hour.
The high speed packaging solution
The accumulator driven high speed hybrid STORK S+ machine is especially designed to meet the high requirements of today's producers of rigid plastic packaging. The STORK S+ machine range is available in a wide range of combinations of clamping forces from 1.000 up to 2.4000 kN with appropriate injection units. The machines are flexible in platen dimensions, opening strokes and 2K solutions. Combining the shortest dry cycle & fastest injection times makes the STORK S+ machine the fastest production machine available in the market.
Demonstration at the PLASTPOL 2011
The sturdy platen design in combination with smooth movements of the toggle clamping unit ensures optimal reliability and low mould wear. Roller-rail guiding and free running tie bars will achieve the clean mould area required for food packaging purposes. Platen stability and stiffness is a key factor to produce successfully with multi cavity thin walled moulds. Fast moving heavy weights and high speed injection put serious demands to the construction and drive system of the machine.
At the PLASTPOL Stork will show a STORK S+ 3300-2150, a machine with a clamping force of 3300 kN or 330 tons. It is equipped with a roller rail guiding system for the moving platen. The fixed platen is made out of massive steel to improve stability of the mould. The dry cycle time of
this machine is faster than 1.4 seconds. The machine is standard equipped with a variable displacement pump and has an optional electrical screw drive for optimal energy saving performance.
The machine will produce a 400 grams butter container in 4 cavities. The product weight is 14,6* *grams and thus the shot weight will be 58.4 grams. The product has a wall thickness of 0.48 mm. The mould is constructed and produced by Van den Brink B.V., who also supplies the matching high speed telescopic side entry take out system ( SER ) which has a take out time of 0.35 seconds. The cycle time of this production cell will be 2,75 seconds.
We thank Oni Wärmetrafo GmbH for supplying the cooling system ONI SVK 720, Sabic Europe BV for supplying their material SABIC FPC 55 polypropylene, Koch Technik for supplying the material handling and W&R Plastics for supplying the master batch colouring material.
Stork Plastics Machinery B.V. is located in Hall G stand number 9.
